the pr company
Project: Piracy Corporation is a pr company based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. As disrupter brand, the business is a go-to for pr in the food and drinks industry. The founder Martin Ballantine felt a stronger core brand identity was needed as projects grew, and commissioned a full brand identity for use on stationery, print packaging, marketing materials, social media and web.

Process: The company is small and bespoke, with high value clients wishing to work with Martin due to his experience, personality and results. This personal touch was discussed, and we worked into the brand Martin’s part Liverpudlian, part Kiwi heritage. After discussion and agreement of inclusion and core elements, three style directions were presented, with the crest logo chosen.
The skull, Liver Bird wings, fern leaves, hop (Kent) and 08 (year of founding) were brought together with a strong colour palette to reflect the brand ethos “it’s more fun to be a pirate” inspired by the Steve Jobs quote.

Deliverables: Full brand identity with supportive icons for use online and in print pitches, brochures and packaging. Full stationery set including business card design, compliment slips and letterhead design. Social media artwork, and assets for development of a new company website.
